Cancellation, Rescheduling and Refund Policy

Effective Date: July 10, 2026
Last Updated: July 10, 2026
This policy applies to services provided by Cutting Edge Aerials, including property documentation, real estate and construction media, drone photography and videography, boat and yacht media, sports venue and event coverage, custom aerial footage and related media services.
By approving a quote, signing a service agreement, scheduling an appointment or making a payment, the client agrees to this policy.

1. Quotes and Appointment Confirmation
Submitting a request for a quote does not create a confirmed appointment or require the client to purchase services.
An appointment is confirmed once Cutting Edge Aerials has accepted the project and any required service agreement, deposit or payment has been received.
Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote. Prices may be revised if the scope, location, property size, requested deliverables or project requirements change.
2. Deposits
Cutting Edge Aerials may require a deposit to reserve an appointment, event date or custom production project.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, deposits are applied toward the total project cost.
Deposits become nonrefundable when:
-
The cancellation deadline has passed
-
Travel or project preparation has begun
-
Specialized equipment, assistants or contractors have been reserved
-
Airspace authorization or location arrangements have been completed
-
Photography, filming or editing has begun
-
The appointment date has been held and other work was declined
Any different deposit terms shown on a quote or service agreement will control for that project.
3. Client Cancellations
Clients should provide cancellation notice as soon as possible by email or telephone.
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable quote or agreement:
-
Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the appointment may be rescheduled without a cancellation fee.
-
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment may result in the loss of the deposit or a cancellation fee.
-
Same-day cancellations may be charged up to 50% of the scheduled service price.
-
Failure to provide access, appear for the appointment or notify us of a cancellation may result in a charge of up to 100% of the scheduled service price.
Any cancellation fee will reflect time reserved, preparation performed, travel incurred and other reasonable project costs.
Nothing in this policy limits cancellation or refund rights that cannot legally be waived.
4. Rescheduling by the Client
One rescheduling request made at least 48 hours before the appointment will generally be accommodated without an additional fee, subject to availability.
Additional rescheduling requests or requests made less than 48 hours before the appointment may result in a rescheduling fee.
A new appointment date is not guaranteed until confirmed by Cutting Edge Aerials.
If the project is not rescheduled within 90 days of the original appointment, any deposit may be forfeited unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Weather and Unsafe Conditions
Drone, marine, exterior and event services depend on suitable weather and safe operating conditions.
Cutting Edge Aerials may postpone, modify or stop an appointment because of:
-
Rain or thunderstorms
-
Lightning
-
High winds
-
Poor visibility
-
Unsafe temperatures or severe weather
-
Hazardous water conditions
-
Temporary flight restrictions
-
Controlled-airspace limitations
-
Emergency activity
-
Unsafe property or job-site conditions
-
Any condition that could endanger people, property or equipment
A weather or safety postponement made by Cutting Edge Aerials will not be treated as a client cancellation.
Payments and deposits will normally be transferred to a mutually agreed rescheduled date.
A refund may be provided when Cutting Edge Aerials determines that the service cannot reasonably be completed within an appropriate period. However, nonrecoverable expenses already approved by the client may be deducted.
6. Airspace and Legal Restrictions
All drone operations are subject to FAA regulations, airspace requirements, property access, location rules and the professional judgment of the remote pilot.
Cutting Edge Aerials does not guarantee that drone operations can be completed at every requested location or on every requested date.
If legal or airspace restrictions prevent drone operations, we may:
-
Reschedule the appointment
-
Modify the flight plan
-
Provide ground-based media instead
-
Remove the affected service from the project
-
Refund the unused portion of the affected service
No refund is required for delays or restrictions caused by inaccurate information supplied by the client or by the client’s failure to obtain required property, venue, marina or event permission.
7. Property or Location Not Ready
The client is responsible for ensuring that the property, vessel, venue or project location is ready and accessible at the scheduled time.
Preparation may include:
-
Providing authorized access
-
Cleaning and staging the property
-
Removing vehicles, trash containers and unnecessary items
-
Securing animals
-
Informing occupants or tenants
-
Obtaining venue, marina, HOA or property permission
-
Ensuring that contractors or construction activities will not interfere
-
Providing a qualified captain when a vessel must be moved
If the location is inaccessible, unsafe or not ready, Cutting Edge Aerials may delay, shorten or reschedule the appointment.
Additional travel, waiting-time or rescheduling fees may apply. Payments are generally nonrefundable when the service cannot be completed because the client failed to provide access or prepare the location.
8. Work Already Completed
Payments are nonrefundable for services already performed.
Completed work may include:
-
Project planning
-
Travel
-
Site evaluation
-
Airspace research
-
Photography or filming
-
File preparation
-
Editing
-
Uploading
-
Digital delivery
-
Custom revisions
-
Contractor or production expenses
If a project is cancelled after work has begun, the client remains responsible for the value of all work completed and expenses incurred through the cancellation date.
If the amount paid exceeds the value of work and nonrecoverable expenses, the remaining balance may be refunded.
9. Editing and Creative Style
Clients are encouraged to review the Cutting Edge Aerials portfolio before booking.
Photography and video editing involve professional and creative judgment. Differences in artistic preference are not considered defects and do not automatically qualify for a refund.
Standard editing may include reasonable color correction, exposure adjustments, stabilization, cropping, sequencing and other enhancements appropriate to the service purchased.
Unless specifically included in the quote, standard editing does not include extensive object removal, structural changes, advanced retouching, replacement of large areas, major sky alterations or changes that misrepresent a property, vessel, venue or event.
10. Revisions and Custom-Editing Fees
The number of included revisions, if any, will be stated in the quote or service agreement.
Requests made after approval or outside the original scope may incur additional fees, including requests to:
-
Change the music or overall editing style
-
Reorder or replace multiple clips
-
Add new text, logos or branding
-
Create additional video lengths or formats
-
Remove objects or people
-
Perform advanced image retouching
-
Add footage not included in the original project
-
Reopen a completed project
-
Revise work after the included revision period
Additional editing will be billed at the rate provided in the quote or communicated before the work begins.
Custom-editing fees are nonrefundable once the requested editing has begun.
11. Client Delays and Scope Changes
Delays caused by missing instructions, unavailable access, late approvals or failure to provide required materials may extend the delivery schedule.
Changes to the project scope may require:
-
A revised quote
-
Additional payment
-
A new appointment
-
A longer turnaround time
Cutting Edge Aerials will notify the client before performing substantial work outside the approved scope.
12. Delivery and Approval
Completed media will be delivered digitally using the method selected by Cutting Edge Aerials.
Clients should review delivered files promptly and notify us of any technical problem within seven calendar days of delivery.
Technical issues may include:
-
A corrupted file
-
An incorrect file format
-
A missing deliverable included in the approved package
-
An upload or download error
When a verified technical problem exists, Cutting Edge Aerials will normally correct or redeliver the affected files rather than issue a refund.
Failure to report a concern within seven days may be treated as acceptance of the delivered work.
13. Digital Products and Raw Footage
Because digital files cannot be physically returned, delivered photographs, videos, edited files and raw footage are generally nonrefundable.
Raw footage is provided only when included in the quote or purchased as an add-on.
The purchase of raw footage does not automatically include editing, project files, music licenses or unrestricted ownership rights.
14. Events and Date-Specific Services
Deposits for weddings, sporting events, tournaments, commercial productions and other date-specific services may be nonrefundable because the scheduled date is reserved exclusively for the client.
If an event is postponed, payments may be transferred to a new available date.
If the client cancels the event, amounts already paid may be retained to cover the reserved date, preparation, travel arrangements, contractors and other nonrecoverable expenses.
Event-specific terms stated in the applicable quote or agreement will control when they differ from this general policy.
15. Cancellation by Cutting Edge Aerials
Cutting Edge Aerials may cancel or decline a project because of illness, equipment failure, emergency, unsafe conditions, legal restrictions, airspace limitations, client misconduct or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
When Cutting Edge Aerials cancels a service and cannot provide a reasonable replacement date, the client will receive a refund of amounts paid for services that were not performed.
The refund will not exceed the amount paid to Cutting Edge Aerials for the affected service.
16. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued through the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.
Processing time may depend on the bank, card issuer or payment provider.
Any approved refund may be reduced by:
-
Work already completed
-
Nonrefundable deposits
-
Travel already incurred
-
Third-party expenses
-
Contractor costs
-
Custom-editing fees
-
Payment-processing fees when legally permitted and not recoverable by Cutting Edge Aerials
17. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Clients should contact Cutting Edge Aerials before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so that we have an opportunity to review and resolve the concern.
Filing an improper chargeback for services that were authorized, completed or delivered may result in collection action and recovery of reasonable fees where permitted by law.
18. Questions and Cancellation Requests
Cancellation, rescheduling and refund requests should be submitted to:
Cutting Edge Aerials
Sarasota, Florida
Email: cuttingedgeaerial@gmail.com
Website: www.cuttingedgeaerials.com
Include your name, project address or location, scheduled appointment date and reason for the request.
19. Policy Changes
Cutting Edge Aerials may update this policy periodically.
The policy in effect on the date the service is booked will generally apply to that service unless the client agrees to revised terms or applicable law requires otherwise.
